My wife Dianne and I are planning to head west again, to some places nwe’ve not been before.
We’ll find out what Surat it’s like, and what’s the “go” there.
I’ll keep you posted!

We are back!

Let there be light!
Surat is a town south of Roma, in the Maranoa region of western Queensland. It’s a town of significant worker population who are involved in producing gas for energy markets.
In addition the Condamine River joins the Balonne River about 12 km or so, north-west of the town.
There is a great walking path on the southern side of the Balonne River in the town.
We met Doug, who owns and operates the Cobb and Co. Country Motel.
As with most country towns, the people of Surat are friendly and welcoming to new visitors.
If any reader of this podt would like to let me know more about Surat and its spiritual heritage and its Indigenous Peoples background, you are welcome to email me on grego@plant-keys.com.au
All the very best; See you in the west!
God Bless YOU!
